From Port Kells to Punjab

A family rooted in the land — on two continents.

It started right here in Port Kells — a single apiary, a deep curiosity, and a love of the land. We built our beekeeping practice the Canadian way, learning the rhythms of the Fraser Valley season by season.

Then came the question nobody could answer: would Canadian beekeeping survive an Indian summer? We took our hives and our techniques to Village Khalefewala, District Patiala, Punjab — and put it to the test. India is a welcoming country. The brutal heat did not break our bees. Our Canadian beekeeping held, and our apiary in Punjab is now growing.

The result will be something truly unique — honey produced the Canadian way, from the mustard fields of Punjab. It will taste different. It will taste like both places at once. Available April 2027 in Village Khalefewala.

Our Honey

Small-batch. Locally tended. Honestly made.

This year we're starting with our Port Kells wildflower honey — made from two apiaries, one in the pumpkin patch and one covering the Latimer Creek Wetland. We're also expanding with clover from Cloverdale, rare forest honey from South Surrey, and our most special variety yet: Sarson Honey from the mustard fields of Punjab.

Why our honey is different

From hive to jar — nothing in between.

For years, our honey was something we shared with people we knew — friends, coworkers, neighbours who kept asking where they could get more. The answer was always the same: you had to know us.

This October, that changes. Our honey — the same quality we've always made — is coming to Port Kells Nursery, where the Fraser Valley community gathers every harvest season.

Come find us at the pumpkin patch.

Our Port Kells Wildflower Honey is available now at Port Kells Nurseries — one of the Fraser Valley's most beloved fall destinations.
